Check My Style: Spring Fashion Trend – Embroidery

One of the biggest fashion trends this season is embroidered clothing, shoes, and handbags. Embroidered garments are believed to have started during the Zhou Dynasty in China around 1045 and were regarded as a sign of wealth and prosperity. Fast forward to spring 2017 and the trend seems to be everywhere and so easy and fun to incorporate into a wardrobe.

How to wear embroidered garments or accessories

  • Select one embroidered item unless you choose to mix two opposing patterns
Example: Try pairing a colorful embroidered floral on the leg of a pant with a chambray light wash denim shirt with smaller neutral color embroidered flower.
  • For a more casual look select an embroidered garment and pair it with a causal sneaker or flat or opt for a wedge or heel for a dressier and more elegant feel.
